Spain

Incredible culture, stunning food, amazing architecture and fantastic weather, it’s not hard to see why Spain endures as one of the hottest destinations in Europe. The perfect combination of vibrant cities, striking natural landscapes and beautiful coastline, Spain is perfectly suited to a coach tour itinerary. And with the most World Heritage Cities in the world, and the second-largest number of UNESCO World Heritage Sites (after Italy), the historic towns and cities have had many influences over the years, including the Romans and Moors, which results in a diverse range of architecture to marvel at.

Known as some of the most friendly inhabitants in Europe, the Spanish exude a relaxed lifestyle, vibrant nightlife and world-famous festivities. Barcelona, the capital of Catalonia and Spain’s second largest city, is known for the architecture of it’s most famous son, Gaudi, such as the Sagrada Familia, as well as the many outdoor markets, restaurants, museums and beaches. Madrid has a bounty of cultural and artistic heritage, as well as an incredibly vibrant food scene and nightlife. As the capital of Spain, its culture has been heavily influenced by it’s Royal history and position as the centre of the Spanish Empire. The Royal Palace, Museo Nacional del Prado, Palacio de Cibeles and Real Basilica de San Francisco el Grande are just some of the places wonders worth visiting.

Spain is known for its diverse culture, and in the region of Catalonia, including Barcelona, the Catalan language is widely spoken. The food, too, varies widely. The southern region of Andalusia, which includes cities like Granada, Ronda and Seville, is known as the home of tapas - delicious small plates of hot and cold appetizers.
