Day 1: Arrive in Cairo

Arrive at Cairo airport where you will be met by our local representative, who will assist you through immigration and passport control and with collecting your baggage. You will then be transferred to your hotel. Here, meet your Egyptologist tour guide, who will accompany you for the duration of the tour. Your guide will brief you about the tour package and the incredible experiences you will have over the following eight days!

Day 2: Giza Pyramids - Great Sphinx - Pyramid of Djoser - Aswan

This morning you will experience the icons of ancient Egypt! Travel to the Giza pyramid complex with your Egyptologist guide, where you can see the Great Pyramid of Giza, the Pyramid of Khafre, the Pyramid of Menkaure, and the Great Sphinx. We'll then visit Sakkara to see Egypt’s first pyramid -  the unique Pyramid of Djoser (also known as the Step Pyramid). This evening, we'll board a private bus and travel overnight alongside the Nile to Aswan, a busy market and tourist centre in the south of Egypt.

Day 3: Cairo - Philae Temple - Aswan

It’s time to begin our Nile quest! Check into the hotel and freshen up before we start off with a visit to the High Dam of Aswan. Learn about the history of the area, impressive historical monuments and relocation of the Nubian people. Next, cruise to Agilkia Island on a short boat ride where you can explore the Temple of Isis at Philae built during the Ptolemaic Kingdom (305 BC - 30 BC). It’s believed that the last Egyptian hieroglyph was written on the island of Philae in the late fourth century!

Day 4: Nile felucca cruise

This morning you can choose to join an excursion to Abu Simbel - two massive temples built into rock on the banks of Lake Nasser. The temple complex is part of the Nubian Monuments UNESCO World Heritage Site. After breakfast we'll board our felucca! Sit back, relax and enjoy the amazing views as we navigate the River Nile on this traditional wooden sailing boat. The covered deck provides shade, and also has comfortable mattresses, making it the perfect place to relax while drifting along one of the world's longest and oldest waterways.

Day 5: Kom-Ombo - Karnak - Luxor

This morning we'll explore the Temple of Kom-Ombo, a unique 'double' temple dedicated to both the crocodile god Sobek, and the falcon god Haroeris (Horus). Luxor is our next stop. Here we'll take an afternoon tour of the east bank and experience the incredible Karnak temple complex, part of the ancient city of Thebes. It is a vast mix of temples, chapels, statues and obelisks. We'll finish off the day with a tour of the impressive Luxor Temple.

Day 6: Valley of the Kings - Hatshepsut - Hurghada

Today we explore the world-famous Valley of the Kings and adventure through some of the incredible tombs of the New Kingdom Pharaohs, such as King Tutankhamen. After this, it’s time to experience the Temple of Hatshepsut (Deir El Bahary), the mortuary temple of the only Pharaoh Queen that ruled Egypt. The day will finish off with a visit to the great Colossi of Memnon, the last remains of Amenophis III’s temple. After a day filled with ancient wonder, we travel to Hurghada on the Red Sea coast, where we'll be staying in a luxurious, all-inclusive resort!

Day 7: Hurghada: Free Day

This is a free day for you to enjoy however you wish! Make the most of the resort and all of its activities! Take a dip in the inviting swimming pool, stroll along the long sandy beaches and enjoy all-inclusive food and drink; total relaxation awaits! Alternatively, you can choose to take part in the resort’s water sport activities, including full-day snorkelling and scuba diving excursions. The seas around Hurghada offer some of the best coral reef dive spots in the world! An unmissable experience for ocean lovers!

Day 8: Hurghada - Cairo

This morning we'll take an air-conditioned private minibus back to Cairo. Check-in and freshen up at the hotel before we visit the Egyptian Museum to learn more about the country's incredible ancient history, followed by a trip to the old city of Cairo where you can explore Khan El Khalili, a buzzing bazaar filled with souvenir shops, cafés and shisha bars.

Day 9: End of Tour in Cairo

Just like all good things, your time in Egypt must come to an end. The tour finishes after breakfast at our hotel in Cairo. DAY 4: Nile felucca cruise

DAY 5: Kom-Ombo - Karnak - Luxor

Visit the temple of Luxor: Discover “the world’s largest open-air museum” when you visit the Temple of Luxor. Wander along the enchanting Avenue of Sphinxes and learn more about the Pharaonic and Roman history of the area.
