An Eye-Opening and Fun North American Adventure!
This tour of the Eastern part of the USA and Canada really changed my perception of both these countries. I would think I have seen, tasted and heard all about these countries before even setting foot on their soils but experiencing these nations in person has enhanced and even changed what I thought I knew. Starting with the three nights in New York, journeying north through New England and into Quebec and venturing East through Ottawa, Toronto to the breath-taking Niagara Falls and going down south into Mid-Western America through Detroit, Pittsburgh and eventually arriving in Washington DC, this trip had it all and it's an experience I won't forget! If you are curious about this part of the North American continent, then I would recommend going on this tour. You will be in safe hands with Larry the knowledgeable and friendly tour director and our driver Leo was the ultimate professional motor coach operator! Good times and good company were had in this part of the world!

Great, well-organised tour that offered a lot!
We had a great experience (again) with Expatexplore. Larry was a very good and efficient tour operator that communicated well and spent some time with each inidividual. He is helpful and accommodating. Leo is a warm-hearted and very skilled busdriver that also had excellent communication skills. They are both a credit to the company!!

Excellent tour, holiday of a lifetime!
The 16days USA / Canada tour was interesting and exciting, with many highlights, including nature hikes in Canada, to exploring the streets of major cities and learning about their politics and regional history. Adventure activities included a helicopter flight over Niagara Falls and a boat trip into the magnificent Horseshoe Falls at Niagara, hiking through Flume Gorge and Montmorency Falls in Quebec. Our tour leader Larry, made each day interesting and fun, with his abundant local knowledge and keen sense of humour. Other personal highlights for me were visiting Washington, Alexandria, Quebec City, Detroit and making friends along the way with my fellow adventurers. Many thanks to Larry for all you did for us and a special shout out to Leo, our Driver, for his driving skills and keeping us safe, much appreciated!

Overall, the tour was wonderful!
For first time travelers to the US and Canada, this tour is an amazing option to get a grasp of the culture and attractions the two countries have to offer. Larry (tour guide) was excellent! He really knows about his stuff and is always willing to accommodate any of your concerns. He's also willing to answer any questions you have regarding anything (and I mean anything, regardless of whether your question involves the tour or not). However, I would not recommend this tour to those which struggle to walk moderate distances and those who find stairs difficult as this tour heavily involves these activities. Also, it is also important to keep in mind that walking in the pouring rain is inevitable so better to come prepared and bring a waterproof jacket, a cap, an umbrella and shoes which can get wet. With regards to meals, there isn't really a lot of options for breakfast and their meals severely lack vegetables, but they do offer fruits. Food servings in America is excessive as compared

Bloody awesome
This is my 5th expat tour. I just love the simple way you operate. Orgaised, fast and you see the highlights in each country. Larry is one of the best tour guides I've ever been with. Loved his humour. Communication was fantastic. I have now ticked so much more off my bucket list. Thank expat, thanks Larry

Why this tour?

With so much to see in both the USA and Canada, it can be hard to choose between the two! Not to mention that North America is massive and finding time to travel to both can be tricky. However, with this Eastern USA & Canada Escape + New York tour, you won’t have to worry about any of that! We’ll take you all the way from New York City to Canada, with visits to Pittsburgh, Detroit, Boston, Washington and more!

Combining a trip to New York with tours of Eastern USA and Canada allows you to experience two countries over 15 days! You’ll be able to visit multiple destinations and enjoy a number of highlights in each location.

Some of these highlights are:

  • Guided tours of Quebec City, Toronto city centre, Detroit and Washington DC, as well as a walking tour of Ottawa and a driving tour of Boston. Your guides will offer plenty of local insight into these fascinating places.
  • Sampling regional delicacies such as New York pizza, poutine in Old Montreal, Canadian ice wine at Niagara-on-the-Lake, Polish Boys in Cleveland and, of course, authentic Canadian maple syrup on a maple farm!
  • Visits to multiple sites of incredible natural beauty such as Niagara Falls, Cannon Mountain, White Mountain National Forest and Flume Gorge. These are serious bucket-list experiences!

Are coach tours to Canada and the USA expensive?

When is the best time to visit Canada and the USA?
With so many gorgeous natural landscapes, Eastern USA and Canada offer so much to see all year round. While May and September are slightly cooler and great for avoiding crowds.
