One of the best!
I've taken 6 tours with Expat, so far. As you can see, I keep returning because I love the way Expat manages, organizes and delivers the enjoyment of each tour. The Japan tour wasn't different. But Japan was special, cause Japan is special in its own way! So I highly recommend it, and hopefully you'll get Jamie as your guide, making it even more fun!

Saw a lot... but felt rushed...
Tour guide was GREAT as was our translator/logistics person. Japan is a beautiful country. But this tour just wasn't what I wanted... I guess I am more an experience based person, not a see the sights, sit on a bus, see more sites type... All in this trip felt very rushed. I've learned I need to book more experience based trips with time to really experience a place.. I could have seen a lot less temples and shrines as they all start looking the same. In that time we could have done more activities. My biggest complaint is that I didn't have a lot of time to find great food - which is one of Japan's best features. We went to several truck stops (which are better than most countries truck stops, but still not the ideal foreign dining experience).

As indicated this was a five star eperience.
All aspects of this tour were impecably organised. The pre-bookin was on point, The Cape Town staff were outstanding. We soon got to know all of them They were, friendly, courteous and efficient, It was very refreshing that if they did not know the answer to a question, it was researched and returned with a feedback. The They are crucial to the success of your organisation. The paraphenailia for the tour was well-designed, informative and very accurate. It kept us well-informed on a daily basis. A quiet and careful driver. He did not use the hooter once. The tour leader, Jamie was par excellence. This is the third trip with Expat. Jamie was by far the very best. He was well informed. Despite not being og Japanese origin he had outstanding knowledge of Japan, the people, the norms, culture and traditions. He kept us very attentive with his vast knowledge of all aspects of the tour. He is very well organised. He hands out a day in advance the details of the itinerary in a a very cr

Fantastic tour. Fantastic tour leaders...
This was our first trip to Japan and it was excellent. Without a doubt our tour leaders (Jamie Seymour and Kanako) made this trip. We saw wonderful places but above all we got to experience Japanese culture, food and the people in a way that we (my wife and I) wouldn't have done had we travelled alone to Japan. Expat made it fun, engaging and full of wonderful experiences that gave us a memorable holiday.
