Visit the historic site of Huaca Pucllana

Pucllana Temple is one of the most fascinating sites in Lima. You can take a guided tour of this great adobe and clay pyramid – one of the best ways to learn more about the ancient history of Lima and Peru. 

Besides the historical and cultural value of this landmark, these ruins are beautiful to take in and admire. Walking around here also allows for some great views of surrounding Miraflores. This is a must-visit spot for anyone interested in the pre-Inca history of Lima.

Enjoy some shopping at Larcomar

Larcomar has got to be the most spectacular mall you will ever see. This shopping hub is built into the side of a cliff – offering incredible views out over the ocean. Spend some time browsing the wide range of shops, or enjoying a delicious lunch at one of the restaurants here.

Take a guided walking tour for one of the best ways to see and learn about Lima. Free walking tours depart daily from the Tourist Information Center in Miraflores. 

There really is no better way to learn about the culture and history of a city than through a tour with the locals. You’ll get to see some of the top sights and attractions in the city while gathering all kinds of interesting information along the way.

Explore Barranco

Barranco is a colourful neighbourhood that is jam-packed with things to see and do. This may be a very small barrio, but its interesting streets can keep you entertained for hours. 

Barranco is famous for its thriving art scene, excellent restaurants and bars, and bohemian charm. You can also visit for some of the best nightlife Lima has to offer. Be sure to visit the famous Puente de Los Suspiros bridge. It is said that if you can cross this bridge while holding your breath, any wish you make will come true.

Visit Museo del Pisco

Pisco is a special spirit that is well-loved all over Peru. No visit to this country would be complete without tasting and learning about this famous drink.
