Spring is my favourite time in Europe. Cities aren't as crowded, and the weather is comfortable across both Western and Eastern countries. You get all the culture without fighting through summer tourist masses.

Forget pretzels and sauerkraut, Pork Knuckle is the true flavour of Germany. Florentine Steak in Italy is a delightful experience, especially paired with a beautiful red wine. And in France, you haven’t really been there if you didn’t try the Duck à l’Orange. 

Learn how to say 'please' and 'do you speak English?' in whatever country you're visiting. This gets people's attention and shows respect. Locals will be happy to help you with anything you need. It's amazing how much more you pick up once you start trying.

France: Paris city centre with over 2,000 historical monuments and sites. Switzerland, for snow peaks and pristine lakes. Italy is the epicentre of the Roman Empire and home to more UNESCO World Heritage sites than any other European country.
