Leading tours through South Africa isn't just a job, it's a privilege. I was born in Cape Town and grew up in Montagu, and I get to share my country's beauty, people, and stories with people from all around the world.
My favourite moment on tour? Watching travellers on safari. The excitement, the determination to spot animals, that pure appreciation for nature. After 80+ tours, these moments still get me every time.
I regularly say "expect the unexpected" because South Africa always delivers: a mountain in the middle of the Mother City, Big 5 in the Kruger Park, penguins on beaches (yes, really!). This country truly has it all.

When to Travel
Summer in Cape Town is something special: peak temperatures, stunning beaches, and you're paying a fraction of European prices. Winter (June-August) is prime safari season in Kruger.
Local Flavours
Start with a proper braai: boerewors, bobotie, malva pudding. Fresh oysters in Knysna and calamari along the Garden Route. Biltong at every stop. Trust me, you'll want to take some home with you.
Insider Advice
South Africans are laid-back. We live in shorts and flip-flops. Yes, even in winter. I don't recommend you do the same. South Africa gets cold, especially during the early morning and evening!
Must-Do Experiences
The Big 5 in Kruger, nothing beats it. Lunch at Skukuza, watching wildlife below. Penguins waddling at Boulders Beach. Cape Town spread beneath you from Table Mountain.
