Amazing Sights
If you are into Egyptian antiquities and archeology then this is the trip for you. Days started very early so we could see all the highlights thus leading to very long days. Be prepared as you can't see everything without starting early and it's only 9 days. Cairo was a bit overwhelming, but I guess it's what I expected for such a large city. Aswan was amazing. The Nubian people were beautiful, friendly and just wonderful. If you are looking for relaxation tour, this trip is not it. There are a couple down days, but other than that you will be busy. Again, a must see if you are an Egyptian buff.

Better than Anticiapted
My idea of visiting Egypt was just to see the Pyramids and the Sphinx, bucket list items. However on this trip I uncovered that Egypt is so much more than just that. The temples are beautiful and are not spoken about enough in order to attract more tourists. Wonderful experience.

  • You’ll get to experience Egyptian culture, bucket-list sites and beautiful scenery first-hand.
  • Your felucca sailing trip along the Nile River is a huge highlight of this tour of Egypt River cruise. • Travelling on a felucca is a unique Eqyptian experience. The deck area is covered with comfortable mattresses that will be used for relaxation while cruising along the Nile. They are also used for sleeping over night. Spending the night like this on the Nile will be a once-in-a-lifetime experience! Enjoy the nighttime ambience of the river and starry sky before turning in for the night. Sleeping on a spot near the outer mattress area will allow for some extra space.
  • As this is ancient Egypt, walkways around many Egyptian ruins can be dusty, and rocky. Be sure to bring comfortable walking shoes and be prepared to get a bit dusty! (You can look forward to a shower at the hotel afterwards).
  • Some hotels in Egypt don’t have lifts so you may need to carry your bags up stairs. It can help to avoid overpacking and bring a bag that you can maneuver easily. Or keep an eye out for hotel staff who can help with luggage. You may even have some helpful fellow travellers who can assist!
  • Temperatures in Egypt can be extremely hot. Travel during slightly cooler times, to avoid the heat of high summer and enjoy more pleasant sightseeing conditions. If you do travel in summer, be sure to pack sunscreen, wear light and airy clothing and stay hydrated.
