Meet up with your tour leader this morning and start the adventure with a visit to a cheese farm for a demonstration on the traditional ways of making cheese and clogs. Next, enjoy some free time for lunch in the lakeside town of Volendam. Then it’s time to head to Zaanse Schans, known for its historic windmills and wooden houses. Continuing on to the picturesque Rhine Valley in Germany. Arrive and visit a local wine merchant for an included wine tasting. It is a very sweet dessert wine that can only be harvested when the temperature drops below freezing. Next, board a riverboat and sail from Boppard to St Goar. Amsterdam to Paris...the long way round
This was a brilliant experience made amazing as a result of our tour leader, Roma and driver Coen. Straight away we felt a connection and knew we were in safe hands. Over the next 13 days they took great care of us. It's early starts, long days and tiring but the payback is every day you get to experience fantastic cities, remarkable architecture, glorious history all in great company with new friends to share the wonder and awe of it all. At every turn Roma was there, corralling, caring and communicating every day of the trip.
