Croatia sailing holidays are some of the most perfect getaways. Offering picturesque landscapes, panoramic views and cerulean blue waters, many travellers opt for such alternatives as opposed to the more "common" excursions. Expat Explore provides Croatia sailing trips that are designed around the discrete needs of the client who will settle for nothing less than the best journeys within an agreeable pricing package. What are some of the main attractions that will be enjoyed?
Sail Croatia: A Hidden Secret
Expat Explore uses the MS Dalmatinac and MS Stoncica (or similar) sailing vessels. Travellers will first depart from the port city of Split before making their way to Mijet National Park. This pristine beauty can be experienced on foot and a refreshing dip in the local waters is possible. The city of Dubrovnik is next on the list; many feel that the urban wonders here are unrivalled in all of Europe. Thereafter, the locale of Korcula is visited (the purported birthplace of Marco Polo). After spending an immaculate evening here, the boat will set sail for the island of Hvar. Some of the best swimming of the entire journey can be found on these shores before finally returning to split during the afternoon of the seventh day. This type of sailing in Croatia is extremely diverse and it will offer a kaleidoscope of adventures to choose from.
Why not choose sailing in Croatia for a breathtaking and utterly unforgettable holiday? You will certainly not be disappointed.

DAY 1: Arrive in Split - Makarska
Expat Explore Travel exclusively uses the MS Dalmatinac and MS Stoncica (or similar) boats on our Croatia Sailing Comfort tour. Featuring cabins with private en-suite facilities, the vessel carries a maximum of 22 people and also features a sun deck and other common areas for sunbathing and relaxing. The tour starts in Split; after you embark the ship, you will be served lunch on board and then we set sail along the Dalmatian coast down to Makarska Riviera, spending the afternoon swimming at one of the beautiful beaches. Once in Makarska, you will have some free time to explore and try the local cuisine.
DAY 2: Peljesac peninsula - Mljet
This morning we depart towards Mljet, making our first stop on the Peljesac peninsula for a refreshing morning swim. After lunch, the whole afternoon is free to explore the beautiful Mljet National Park (please note, entrance fee applies). You can choose to hire bicycles and see as much of the park as possible, or perhaps catch a boat to the Island of St Mary's Benedictine Monastery, the choice is yours!
DAY 3: Mljet - Dubrovnik
After breakfast we depart for Dubrovnik, undoubtedly one of the highlights of this tour. On route there will be time for a short swim and you will enjoy the beautiful sights along the way towards “the heaven on earth” – as the famous writer George Bernard Shaw described Dubrovnik. In the afternoon you can explore the city walls at your own pace, or join our guided tour of the old town. In the evening we recommend a visit to Buza Cafe, situated just outside the city walls and overlooking the Dalmatian coast line, providing an amazing spot to watch the sunset.

After breakfast we depart for Korcula, the birthplace of Marco Polo, where we'll enjoy lunch on board in front of Lumbarda (part of Korcula).
